The Honor Frost Foundation MA Scholarship 2023/2024

The Alexandria Centre for Maritime Archaeology & Underwater Cultural Heritage (CMAUCH) is pleased to announce the continuation of the Honor Frost Foundation Scholarship for the Diploma/MA program in Maritime Archaeology for the 2023/2024 academic year.
The scholarship covers tuition fees and offers support towards living expenses.

• The current total funding for the Diploma and MA (Two Years) is 18,600 EGP.

• Additional funding for a stipend for non-governmental scholars is  2,400 GBP annually.

• Additional traveling stipend for students who live outside of Alexandria, totaling a maximum of 300 GBP per year.

The scholarship aims to encourage serious and deserving students to peruse graduate studies in the field of Maritime Archaeology at the CMAUCH.
Scholarships are available for students from Egypt.

𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 extended to 10/8/2023

Requirements:

• Applicants must be graduates of Archaeology and related disciplines.

• A good command of English is essential.

• CV must be submitted along with the application & indicate applicant’s level of English.

• All applicants are required to provide a recommendation letter from the department chair or a faculty member, and a personal motivation letter.

Terms and Conditions of scholarships:

• An interview with candidates applying for HFF-CMAUCH scholarships that include the Director of CMAUCH, HFF MAD, and HFF Liaison Officer in Egypt.

• Annual evaluation of scholars is due by the end of the Spring semester of each academic year. Scholars shall only obtain further funding to continue their studies beyond the Diploma degree if they obtain adequate grades (Minimum B+).

• Allows scholars to choose to either register for the One-Year Diploma or continue their studies through to the MA degree.

• A clear deadline for submission of the MA thesis will be introduced, and students will be required to meet this deadline.
